Using Adhesives to Add Accents

Sometimes you have a simple layout that you just need to up add more to!  In today's layout that I created for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L that was the case.  It was fine, but it just needed something extra.  Let's take a look at how I used adhesive to make that happen!

**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, and The ScrapRoom for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

You can see how without the added splatters and glitter this would be a very simple layout.  You can check out close-ups for this HERE. I did use one of the page kits from The ScrapRoom to make it happen!

I do have a video to walk you thru this one!

Here's my project!
I combined the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit with the Smile Stamp and Cut to create my gold foiled sentiment.  My focal point star was created by using the Paper Layering Star with just one 3D Foam Star in the center.  Surrounding the focal point you will find a bunch more of the 3D Foam Stars as well Adhesive Dots covered with Gold Foil and sequins!

I have a video to share today that will walk you thru how I put this card together:

What do you think? Not to challenging but lots of fun techniques involved!

Five Wedding Card Ideas in Ten Minutes using Washi Tape and 1 Sheet of Stickers
As I mentioned in my last post - creating backgrounds with Washi Tape has become a favorite technique of mine.  I'm going to employ this technique today as I create multiple wedding cards with Washi Tape backgrounds.  The only other supplies you'll need is a set of 3D Wedding Stickers from Paper House Productions, some rhinestones, and some Adhesive Dots from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (choose your topping for these - I went with foil but glitter or flocking would be beautiful also).  Let's dive into the video for these cards:

I hope that between the last post with a washi tape layout background and this post, I've inspired you to pull out your washi tape and make use of this product again!

Washi Tape Background

Washi Tape is such a great versatile product.  Lately I've been enjoying using it for backgrounds on layouts and cards.  Here's a scrapbook layout I did recently where I created a whole background with wonky stripes!

Create a Washi Tape Background on a Scrapbook Layout
To get started I picked out the sticker set I wanted to use.  Knowing that it had some different colors in it, I printed my pictures in black and white!  Then I just matched up some washi tape with my stickers and began to create!  Let's take a look at the process up close in this video:

Anyone can make a background like this - newbies or experienced crafters alike!

How to Modify Embellishments with Adhesive

Every once in a while you get an embellishment that is beautiful but not quite right for what you were looking for.  In today's case I had some embellishments that needed more black! Instead of tossing them out because they weren't what I was looking for, I modified them!
