Hi there! With everyone already diving into school or getting ready to, it seemed like the perfect time to do a video series that features crafty projects with a school theme.  I will have 7 episodes worth of projects and each day am paired up with a couple other talented crafters sharing videos on YouTube as well! Let's dive into my first project which is a boy scrapbook layout!
This is a very simple layout to recreate  but I also think with the colors it packs a punch!

Let's check out the video for Day One:

Totally manageable right? I love that Doodlebug Design makes it so very easy!

My Creative Scrapbook - Creative Kit Projects & Unboxing Video

I always love crafting in the fall - something about the color combinations just totally appeals to me!  Today I have some projects to share with you from the Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook this month.  I'm not going to share them all - just the ones I don't have a video for!  But first here's a look at what's in the Creative Kit including an unboxing video!

Now on to some of my projects:
This is actually one of my favorites for this month - not sure if it's the pictures or what but I just love how it came together!  I used one of the new Exclusive Cut Files from My Creative Scrapbook to create my title!  They have some beautiful ones this month!

On this layout I played up the falling leaves and movement on the layout with the jute twine from the kit.  I used the new We R Memory Keepers Staple board to add the staples.  What a treat!

Tomorrow I will be back with my first video for this month's kits!  Hope you are having a great fall day!

Baseball Scrapbook Layout

With opening day fresh in everyone's minds I thought it was a perfect time to pull out the new All Star Collection from Paper House Productions and play with the baseball components!  I also decided to try my hand at a mixed media background (for the first time EVER!)

There's a lot of circles happening in my design - to break that up I brought in the Baseball Snapshot Stickers.  The shape helps draw attention in to the photos and they also add an extra texture with their paper clips!  I created my background by spraying cellophane with mist and then smushing it onto the layout (that's a technical term right there ;).

As I was creating this layout I knew I wanted to incorporate multiple patterns and circular elements.  I used a punch to do that and then tied in some of the round cardstock stickers to embellish.

This collection comes with stickers that work great for titles and subtitles - that always makes figuring out that part of the layout a little easier.

Easter Layout and Easter Cards using Bunnyville from Doodlebug Design

Bunnyville from Doodlebug Design brings together so many fun elements of Easter - the bunnies, the chicks, eggs - it just screams spring!  I made an Easter layout and some Easter cards too!  I was having too much fun playing, I just couldn't stop!  First up is a layout!
There are so many fun patterns and embellishments in this collection - I just knew I had to go bold and play them up!

The Jellybean patterned paper had to be included - it's too cute!  I added it up top and built a little sunshine scene up there - including of course sprinkles for the sun's cheeks.

We're coloring eggs in the picture so of course we had to work in some of the pieces from the Bunny & Friends Craft Kit from the collection.  For this part I went with bunnies and eggs and then added some cardstock stickers and jellybean sprinkles too!

For the bottom of the layout I worked in some carrots - because there were too many adorable ones not to include them!  I used some from Bunny & Friends Craft Kit as well as pieces of Doodle-pops.  And there's those Jellybean Sprinkles again - so fun!

I also decided to keep the fun going and create a set of Easter cards with the collection.

I used the patterned paper that has 4 X 4 squares to cut out of different phrases and scenes for each of my cards.  There are 9 cards on the 12 X 12 patterned paper so if you wanted to you could create 9 cards from this sheet!  They work really well for a 5 inch square or 5.5 inch square card.  Mine are all 5.5 inch squares. This one is backed with some of the striking washi tape.  To add some dimension to the scene I added some carrot and chick Shape Sprinkles.

This one just has a few special additions to the 4 x 4 square.  I used a pixie to make the Happy Easter marquee into a sign and tucked that behind a couple of popped up eggs.  I also added a tree sticker to the background and cut out a part of the little chick's head to make it overlap.

This cute little bunny in this square definitely needed some carrot Shape Sprinkles in his hands.  The Doodle-pop chicks came along for the fun!

This was actually the first square I was inspired to work with - it just had the egg grid on it and I knew there was some fun possibilities there!  I added the word "HOP" first and then used some Shape Sprinkles to fill in the rest.  The Shape Sprinkles in this collection are just perfect additions for your cards!
