I take way too many pictures on vacation! Anyone else like me? I'm learning more and more how to efficiently capture those memories while still feeding my creative side. This is one of those ways! Today I have a mini album from Paper House Productions using their Adventure Flip Album!
I decorated the cover to give it a one of a kind feel:

I always love the chance to create projects for the annual CHA (newly named Creativation) show each year! Paper House had me work with several different collections and I am going to share the baby girl themed ones today! Paper House already has this collection available in their store!
First up I'll share my favorite of the projects:
After having so much fun making a Christmas Embroidery Hoop wall hanging I knew I wanted to do another with their Acetate Paper for this collection. I did a ton of fussy cutting for this project - the banner and all the flowers are all fussy cut. It's not hard to do and turns out to be a really unique home decor piece! Here's the video I created on how I made my Christmas one!
I shared this Flipbook earlier but now Paper House has added this collection to coordinate with it! They displayed this flipbook along with the other new flipbooks at CHA!

Last up I have a layout - I pulled out my new We R Memory Keepers Alphabet Punch Board for this one - I am loving that board! In fact I like it so much I got the smaller one too! I love my Silhouette machine - but it's nice not to have to always lug it out to use and these punch boards offer a good alternative here and there!
By using the punchboard I was able to work in some extra patterned papers in this one and showcase nearly all the papers in the collection. Aren't the stickers so great too!?! I love those puffy ones!

Today I am sharing a venture into a new project for this holiday season! I have never done a December Documented Album and have always wanted to! My December is always busy so I decided to create the base in advance and then I can just add pictures and embellishments as I go. As I was thinking through my process, SRM Stickers kept coming to mind so I decided to dive right into that! Today I am going to share with you the starting process and some ideas for how to use SRM Stickers on your base pages - especially focusing on the numbers.
Part of the reason I knew that SRM was perfect for this job was because I knew I had ready made numbers and months that would look good with nearly any patterned paper. I loved this tree patterned paper and just added the December from the Calender Months Large/Snappy Set. I knew I definitely wanted the year on the cover as well and the We've Got Your Numbers - Small were perfect for adding it to the corner. We could be here all day if I show you all 25 pages of the album so I am just going to share a few of them that I really love!
To keep things easy I stuck entirely with one patterned paper line. The line had numbers with it too so for some added interest I used those on a few pages. To accent this page I used a Merry Christmas sticker from the Christmas Stickers by the Dozen and a Peace Love Joy border sticker from the Take 2 Stickers by the Dozen: Christmas. As you can see there is plenty of room to add a picture and some journaling for the day.
Oh how I love SRM's 4 inch doilies! So they made lots of appearances in the album :) I also used a Merry Christmas round sticker from the Take 2 Stickers by the Dozen: Christmas to add a pop of red. The border is from We've Got Your Border Christmas - I was surprised how much I liked that against the polka dots! The 6 comes from the We've Got Your Number - XL Black set. These numbers in black and white area simply awesome - perfect for adorning everything from layouts to pocket pages to mini albums!
This last page that I am going to share gives you one more idea for mounting your numbers and that is to use SRM Labels. Since my patterned papers had black in them I opted to use some of the Black White Labels by the Dozen.
Now that you've seen some of the base how about a look at some of the finished pages! Yes, this mom of four has managed to get some pages done already! YAY!
I have one last project to share with you today that features "Front Porch" by Pebbles. I don't do a lot of mini albums but I am trying to change that! I got a new Cinch machine from The Scrapbooking Studio and have big plan s for playing with it lots! For today's album I simply used some of the Polaroid frames that are made from a heavy weight cardstock as my base and bound them together with a metal ring.
I knew I wanted to create just a general album using up some cute pictures of my kids that haven't already found a home! So I created my cover with some stickers about being Thankful for the everyday.
Each kiddo got a big polaroid page and a little one too. Here is a sampling of a few of them. I also used a quote sticker for each kiddo that fit their personality. I liked working with this smaller size...things went quick and there wasn't a lot of thinking...something either worked or it didn't!
Have I said how great 2012 was for me and my scrapping? Got published multiple times, got to design for two wonderful manufacturers, got to design for an amazing local scrapbook store, made tons of new friends...but hands down one of the biggest highlights was getting to spend two days at Summer CHA! I decided it was such a special time I needed to create my own mini about it. That mini will be used for a sample piece at The Scrapbooking Studio.
I used the Pebbles line Seen and Noted, some SRM Stickers, and some Maya Road Kraft embellishments. The Library Pockets hold my journaling and are also pages in the album.
I won't be attending the Winter CHA...but someday I hope to get back there again!
