Quick Tip Tuesday #3 - Circle Folds

Hiya scrappy friends!  Anybody else feel like the last week has been a whirlwind of activity? I actually wanted to post this last week, but time got away!  Here's the two cards I made for today's video!

Can you tell I have been enjoying using "Here Comes Santa Claus" from Doodlebug?  I have nearly used up the entire collection - even the embellishments!!!

That Santa in the VW is the cutest Doodle Pop ever!!!

Now on to the video!  It's just a quick 1 minute where I show how I did circle folds to add some uniqueness to the cards.

I'd love to have you as a subscirber on my YouTube channel if you haven't already become one!

December Planner Spread

It has been awhile since I have used my planner - ever since our move it hasn't been a priority.  But if there was ever a time of year that my planner is absolutely needed it is December!  Here's my first full week of December.

I used a combination of stickers and stamps from SRM to make this week's spread. I filled it up with lots of color and fun stickers but also left a little room in each day to add more to them! My Black Le Pen was perfect for writing in my own info as it doesn't bleed thru to the back sides!

I used the School Planner Stamp as well as the Birthday Planner Stamp.  To separate activities I stamped a part of the stitch border from the Birthday set and stamped that into the time.

I still kind of prefer stickers to stamps in my planner so I went ahead and did a whole bunch of those!  I pulled out all my Christmas stickers and used a wide variety from the following list:
Live Life/Christmas - Big Red Merry Christmas
Sticker Stitches/Christmas - Stitching strips
We've Got Your Sticker/Merry - Santa/Stocking/Tree space fillers and big "Merry"

I love how stickers add color and can fill up a space that is otherwise kind of blah.  How cute are those candy borders too!?!

My Creative Scrapbook Creative Kit Layout and Process Video

Happy Monday friends!  Can you believe it's already Thanksgiving week?  I always enjoy this week and this year our family is slowing everything down a little bit so we can soak up what it's all about!  Today I have my last layout with the Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook to share!  I also have a process video.  This layout is based on the sketch for the month from Creative Scrappers!

When we were on vacation I was able to get some great fall shots of my kids and the kits this month allowed me to get them scrapped!

Here's my video for this layout:

Hope you enjoyed and picked up some tips from it!  I'll be back tomorrow with another Quick Tip Tuesday video and post!

Thanksgiving Table Favors - Mini Gratitude Journals

I am up today over at Doodlebug Deisgn with an idea of something you can add to the giving thanks part of your Thanksgiving!  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I love that everyone puts time on pause to be with family and celebrate the gifts we have.  To aid in our celebration this year I created a little table favor - mini gratitude journals for each person!

The Flea Market Collection was a great jumping off point for creating my mini albums!  Between the patterned papers, sprinkles, stickers, and the new Cut Files - I was all set to make a quick mini album that was easy to make in multiples.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out an accordion style mini album.  The Leaves and Wheat all come from the Doodlebug Silhouette Store.  I also used a Chunky Brad to close each album.

The insides I kept nice and simple!  Each page has a Mini Doily and one sticker or Sprinkle as an accent. I considered cutting out patterned paper for each page but the doilies were a much quicker option and gave each page a great space for writing.

On the inside cover each album I also added a cute die cut piece from the Odds & Ends - just a little something to personalize each one!

Hard to believe it's almost Thanksgiving week - ready or not here come the holidays!

Brush Lettering Bookmarks

Last week as I was doing our homeschool routine with the kids, I realized I needed some bookmarks to help me keep track of where we were at in books.  Why not make those bookmarks inspirational!?! And why not make them myself and have fun doing it!?!  That is of course where my supplies from SRM stickers came in!  I combined a couple of the new Marker Sets and Bible Journaling stamps to create some lovely bookmarks!

I created a video showing how I made a couple of these bookmarks!

Let's take a closer look at the bookmarks I made:
This first one uses the stamp set Amazing Grace and focuses on the verse Psalm 46:10 and the flowers come from Just Believe.

This one uses an older stamp set Words of Faith and focuses on Psalm 107:1 - the butterfly stamp comes from Just Believe and the little flower comes from Amazing Grace.

Everything on this bookmark comes from the Amazing Grace stamp set and it focuses on Matthew 28:20.

Last up I used the Trust in the Lord stamp set and focuses on 1 Thessalonians 5:18

These are going to be great reminders as I go about my day to day work!

Here's the supplies I used (available from Scrapbook.com)

My Creative Scrapbook - Main Kit layout with the Sketch

The My Creative Scrapbook team has matched up with Creative Scrappers this month to work with a sketch! Here's the fun sketch!

I enjoyed the sketch so much that I actually created two projects with it!  I am going to share one today and one next week with a process video!  Here's the one I made with the main sketch.
I did lots of fussy cut trees for this one!  And then built little scenes amongst those trees using stickers and ephemera that came in the kit!  Have you had a chance to check out the new kits yet - there's lots of fall fun to be had with them!

Baby Girl Mini Album Flipbook - Paper House Productions

If I had known how much fun the Flipbooks from Paper House Productions were gonna be to play with I would have gotten this out much sooner!  Flipbooks are interactive mini albums that you can pack full of pictures and embellish to your hearts content!  Here's a look inside the one I created!

Here's close-ups of my cover and some of the pages inside!
You can leave the cover as is or decorate it like I did.  I added some die cut stickers and a vinyl cutout of her name.
Throuhgout the book I added little details with 3D Stickers and die-cut stickers.

I love how the pages flip up!

So many great details throuhgout the book and already printed into it!
I left room for her mom to be able to add more pictures or journaling as she desires.

Now I want a boy one to play with too!  Hope you've enjoyed the peek inside!
