December 25th - It's Coming!

Christmas is still two months out but I have learned from years past that if I wait until we get closer I will never get as many picture on layouts as I would like!  So I decided to pull out some Christmas last week and start playing!  Here's a fun layout I created using Doodlebug Design's Sugarplum Collection.

The pictures on this are from when my daughter was 4, she's now 8.  Have I made my case for starting early?  These pictures needed a home, finally!  I had fun adding some little details to this layout.

I created a little scene with the die cut gingerbread house - adding stickers around it.  I also added some rows of white hand stitching below it to mimic snow.

The ornament stickers helped add some whimsy.  I popped some of those up with foam adhesive and then added white hand stitching to make them look like they were hanging.  Surrounding them with blue snowflakes and white enamel hearts added more little details and texture.

It was fun to get into the Christmas spirit early AND guess what!?! Tomorrow I will have a couple of Christmas cards to share with you from this same line!  So if you are getting started on your cards, you will want to check back ;)!
