Using Planner Products on a Scrapbook Layout

It can be easy to see how Scrapbook Products can be used in our planner but maybe a little less obvious how to make it work the other way around.  Today I challenged myself to use primarily planner products on this layout for Paper House Productions.

In the video below I walk you thru my whole process in creating this outdoors layout:

There certainly is lots of fun to be had with this huge variety of planner products!  Here's some close-ups of my clusters of products.
To create my title I combined a cardstock sticker and puffy sticker.  Then I created clusters around it featuring sticker flakes and a puffy clip.

This area combines puffy stickers, epoxy stickers, sticker flakes, and rice paper borders - whew!

Here's affiliate thumbnails to most of the products I used - thanks for your support!

How to use Adhesive Dots as Embellishments on a Scrapbook Layout

Some days a clever use for a product strikes and this was one of those times.  Why not use Adhesive Dots from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to create a unique textural embellishment on my scrapbook layout?  Here's what I ended up creating!

See all those glitter filled circles throughout the layout? Those were all orginally Adhesive Dots!  Here's a quick video walk thru of the whole layout including the Adhesive Dots technique!

Not too complicated is it?!?  Any can I get a hooray for a minimal glitter mess too?  That doesn't happen very often!

August Planner Spread in Kawaii Planner - Paper House Productions

I just got my new Kawaii planner from Paper House Productions and it is so much fun!  I could tell you all about it, but why not jump into the process video for this week's planner spread instead?

Isn't the concept of a Kawaii style absolutely fun?  Here's some close-ups of my creation:
Here's the full spread, so much sparkle and whimsy going on!

I'm smitten with these puffy clips.  They are seriously unbelievably fun! So much fun that I had to include two of them!  The one above I added onto a slip on pocket.

I used this puffy clip to hold my place in the planner.

Here you can see several blocks of my planner filled with the coordinating planner stickers as well as part of the rice borders and puffy stickers.

Summer Layout - Stuck?! Sketches August 1st

It's August 1st! How'd that happen?  Today I have a new layout for you that features the sketch from Stuck?! Sketches!  Here's the sketch!

And here's what I created using it!
Crazy enough I actually stayed pretty true to the sketch this go around!  I combined some beautiful papers from the Marbelous paper pad from Paper House Productions with various chipboard pieces and some beautiful hearts from the Paper House Project Pad to make this layout.  The background looks like I did mixed media but the paper actually comes that way! How's that for stunning!  Be sure to link up to Stuck?! if you play along so you too have a chance at the prize!

My Craft Room Video Tour

Just over a year ago we moved into a new house.  Just off our master bedroom we have a fabulous bonus room and we knew that would be perfect for my craft room.  In an effort to get back to some normalcy, I quickly set it up and got to work on projects!  BUT for the entire time, I have never been quite satisfied with the set-up.  Last month when I had a little break in projects, I decided it was time to rearrange.  So without further adieu, I'm excited to show you around my room!  I've got several tips in there on organizing and frugal storage.  Hope you enjoy it!

Adding Hand Stitching to Scrapbook Layouts and Paper Crafts

One of my favorite go to techniques is to simply add hand stitching onto my paper craft projects. Each time I share a different project with hand stitching I get comments with questions. Because of that I recently created a video series to help get you started on hand stitching and string art.

Here's the first video in the series:

As I mention in the video there are a couple of tools that make this job easier, click on any of the affiliate thumbnails below to check those out:

Now what about adding string art with your stitching?  That's a technique you also see me add regularly and guess what? I have a video for that too!

What do you think? Doable right!?!  I want to see if you start creating with this technique so be sure to share it with me on Facebook or Instagram!

The last video I want to share today is just a share video of SOME of my favorite stitched/string art layouts.  There's one in here that took 8 HOURS!  Check it out!

Hope you are itching to pull out a needle and thread and tackle some ideas in your next paper craft project!
