One of my favorite Bible Verses is James 1:17 - how perfect is it that one of my favorite Bible Journaling Margins to date also includes that verse?  I am joining you today with a journaling piece featuring the Bible Margins Rejoice stamps.

**I receive products from SRM Stickers for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**
I incorporated several additional stamps and some mixed media into this piece as well.

To create my background I combined Distress Oxides along the edge with splatters of mist in a coordinating color.  Then I began to stamp!  Along the border I stamped with one of the stamps from Bible Borders. I love that cross one! I used the Just Believe Stamp to create additional flowers and then doodled some leaves of my own using the Black  Le Pen.

I colored in my stamps using simple brush markers and that's it! Not complicated but still a beautiful piece to reflect on as I read James!

Bible Journaling and Sermon Notes for Kids and Adults

Who likes to take Sermon Notes?  I'll admit it's a bit of a foreign concept for me on a live basis because I am married to a pastor....so I'm fending for myself in the pew with four kiddos.  But I just got some new Bible Journaling and Sermon Notes stamps from SRM Stickers and wanted to use them in some ideas for kids and adults. Today I have a couple ideas of how to go in with some ready made creations to add your sermon notes into!  The first project involves a traveler's notebook.  The second is a mini book for kids.

Let's kick things off with a video walk thru of how I created these two projects:

Now let's take a close-up look at these projects - here's the full spread in my traveler's notebook.

The notebook combines the use of the Sermon Notes Stamp Set, The Amen Frames Stamp Set, and the Bible Background Stamp Set (never fear I will have links down below).

The Bible Background Stamp set was perfect for adding some interest to my punched out butterflies!

I made the kids notebook Black and White so that it could be colored.

Then I set my 10 year old loose on coloring! This is the cover page - packed with the Sermon Notes Stamp Set.

Here's one of the inside pages with just the black and white.

My goal was just to leave enough room for a little bit of note-taking and then places to doodle and color.

So there you have it, a couple of ideas for you on how to start using those new stamps in your Sermon Note taking on Sunday morning!

Faith Based Card Collection and Process Video

I used to make cards all the time, as of late it has been a lot less frequent.  Not because I don't enjoy it but because my creativity has been taking me the direction of layouts a lot more!  But today I have a set of faith based cards using some stamps from SRM Stickers as well as their gold Calligraphy Pen!

And of course there is a process video to go with it!

Here's a close up look at all three cards - similar in style with just a change in sentiment.

Perfect for this busy season of lent to give away as I need them!

God is....Bible Journaling

Have you checked out the books of the Bible stamps that SRM now carries?  I love them and wanted to use them on my Bible Journaling with a focused list.  Christine joining you today with a Bible Journaling piece titled "God Is..."

I combined a bunch of stamp sets to create this project including:

I really like the script font of the word "God" from the Child of God Clear stamp so I was excited to use that over and over! I used the 12 Pc Water Color Pencils and a circle template to create my background.

By combining the New Testament and Old Testament stamps with the Today Tomorrow To Do Planner Stamps I was able to cite each verse that the different statements came from.  A really great solution for a person who doesn't love her handwriting ;).

What different stamps and techniques are you incorporating into your Bible Journaling these days?

Crafting with Black & White - Day 1 ***GIVEAWAY***

Recently I created a layout using a black and white patterned paper and loved it!  I loved how it turned out, loved creating it, and loved the challenge it gave my brain!  So I decided it would be fun to get together a group of friends and do a week long You Tube series on Crafting with Black & White patterned papers!  Today kicks things off! I am pairing up today with my friend Sara! At the end of the series I will be doing a giveaway of a $20 gift card to Scrapbook.com!
To enter you can:

-Subscribe to Sara's channel and leave a comment on her video
-If you do both you will get two entries!

I recently got the new black lace from SRM Stickers and decided it was the perfect thing to help me start off this series!
I used the Black 4 inch Lace to cover a circle that I used as part of my focal point in the layout.  Here's a video sharing my whole process for creating this layout!

I also wanted to add in some stamping to my layout as I don't think I have done that yet with the Bible Journaling stamps! I knew I had great options with all of the SRM Bible Journaling Stamps availble.  One of my favorite things about these stamps is that a lot of the words are broken up so you can use them in spaces that fit for you.  Here I started with "the Lord is" from the The Lord is Kind and Merciful set.

I decided "my strength" was going to finish the stamping and that was from the same set.  I love that you can see the lace peeking out here - such a perfect addition to a project!

Here is the supply list with Affiliate Link Thumbnails to Scrapbook.com

Thanks for visiting today - be sure to check in tomorrow for my next creation!

Bible Journaling: Ephesians 2:8

I'm back at it and ready for a fresh new year in Bible Journaling - how about you!?!  I love that there are no rules in Bible Journaling, you can just create and dabble to your hearts content! For today's share I did A LOT of dabbling with a piece based on Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."

I have been watching lots of videos of talented artists drawing their own flowers and I decided to dabble in that for this project! My Black Le Pen was perfect for the doodling part!  I knew I could use my stamps from SRM (Amazing Grace & Trust in the Lord) for little flowers in combination with doodling to create a fun background.

For each style of flower that I did I used a single color from my collection of WaterColor Pencils.  I colored and then used a blending pen to spread the color and give it that pretty watercolor look.

I also wanted to play with masking on this project.  I cut a sheet the same size as my original and then folded it in half and cut out a tilted heart.  I then layed that over the top of my original and started stamping "Grace" over and over until I filled it. The word "Grace" came from the Big Amen set. Lastly I traced my heart again using my Le Pen to make it stand out a little bit more.  I love how this ended up looking and most importantly I had a fun time making it!

Brush Lettering Bookmarks

Last week as I was doing our homeschool routine with the kids, I realized I needed some bookmarks to help me keep track of where we were at in books.  Why not make those bookmarks inspirational!?! And why not make them myself and have fun doing it!?!  That is of course where my supplies from SRM stickers came in!  I combined a couple of the new Marker Sets and Bible Journaling stamps to create some lovely bookmarks!

I created a video showing how I made a couple of these bookmarks!

Let's take a closer look at the bookmarks I made:
This first one uses the stamp set Amazing Grace and focuses on the verse Psalm 46:10 and the flowers come from Just Believe.

This one uses an older stamp set Words of Faith and focuses on Psalm 107:1 - the butterfly stamp comes from Just Believe and the little flower comes from Amazing Grace.

Everything on this bookmark comes from the Amazing Grace stamp set and it focuses on Matthew 28:20.

Last up I used the Trust in the Lord stamp set and focuses on 1 Thessalonians 5:18

These are going to be great reminders as I go about my day to day work!

More of This - Bible Journaling Art!

If you are looking for the Paper House Blog Hop - You can Find it by Scrolling down!

Some days you just need a reminder to focus on the things that can change the world instead of focusing on the negative.  I am joining you today with a Bible Journaling piece that I made on one of those days! I used the Trust In the Lord Stamp Set for this piece.

The background on this came out of the hours of playing with the brush tips on my Le Pens.  I have been playing a ton with brush lettering and as I was messing around I kind of stumbled onto how fun just making little marks could be!

I decided to do multiple colors but keep the same pattern.  I set a metal circular die on the border in order to help me keep a consistent shape going.  After I was done with all the brush tip marks I then went back and used my Black Le Pen to outline each circle.

Although I traditionally like to do a specific verse this time I didn't have one coming to mind.  Instead I focused on a variety of attributes that God desires from me and that I myself need to be focusing on!

Bible Journaling/Coloring Page & Process Video

SRM has released so many great new products to make coloring and Bible Journaling easy, fun, and pretty.  Christine joining you today to share a page that I created to look like a Bible Journaling AND coloring page!

I started off my project by stamping the words I wanted from The Lord is Kind & Merciful set.  Then I wanted to create a background that would mimic some of the popular coloring pages out there.  I used flowers from the The Lord is Kind & Merciful and the Just Believe set to do just that.  Then came the really fun part!  Trying out the new Watercolor Twist pencils!  These are great for this kind of project and super easy to use!  I created a little video to show you just how I used them and the blending pen!

As you can see it's not complicated at all.  And unlike traditional watercoloring, where you have to use water, these will work great for coloring without having to do any extra prep work on your paper!  One tip I have is to keep a tissue or paper towel to wipe off you blending pen between colors.

I can't wait to dive in and play with these more!
