Dat's A

One of Lucy's favorite things to do is identify animals in books. She always says "Dat's a...." This week the challenge at Practical Scrappers was to use punches. I used punches to make all the different animals. It was a lot of fun to play and see what I could come up with. I am proud to say that Lucy could identify every one of them--so I must've done alright!

Kindergarten Lift

I lifted this layout from Jessica. I love to use stamps...but do you notice a mistake in this layout. Look at the word It's...argh...I'll have to find a creative way to fix that!!!

Chirp

I got a nod from Cricut for the Climb layout I did last week! They publish a weekly newsletter and list some of their favorite projects from the messageboard-what an honor to get chosen.

Think

This week's challenge at Practical Scrappers is to use shape punches. I matched up a variety of patterned papers and just used my square punch to create a different background. I kept the rest of it simple to try not to overwhelm the picture.

A Scraplift!

I made this design for Practical Scrappers as they are featuring scraplifts for the weekend. This was a lift from Kim-I like hers better-but am still pleased with how mine turned out!

Climb

I just got a Cuttlebug! This is my first attempt at using it and another entry for Practical Scrappers. The tree and the circles on it are stamped. I used the new C'oredinations paper for my letters and sanded them...so fun!

Our Loss

Yet another page for Practical Scrappers. I made this paper by doing random stamping. It's one of my favorite things to do at workshops, it looks good and it's cost effective! This one also goes under our new weekly feature of using the Cricut or Cuttlebug. The flourishes and letters are both from the Storybook Cartridge.

Every year I do a layout about my kid's favorite things. This was Timmy's four year old favorites!

Go Hunt

This is the first of three layouts that I did for Practical Scrappers. Our challenge this week was to use stamps. I finally got out my awesome Easter Egg set from CTMH and used them.

Special People

I am a chronological scrapper. And I also feel like my main purpose is to document things so I don't forget them in a year or two. I know this isn't everyone's approach-but it is mine. Having said that I was anxious to finish up my son's preschool pictures before he started kindergarten. I was able to accomplish that mission!

Cherry Disposition

I did this layout using items from both our sponsors at Practical Scrappers. The Cherry Brads come from the Eyelet Outlet and the Doodling is from a Crafter's Workshop. I thought the sweet and sour was a perfect description of my two year old!

Kansas Moments

This is a lot of pictures for one layout! I love the story this tells of my sweet kiddos having a blast with their cousins..

Hearts at Home Layout

This layout made me a little sad to do. I had a great time with my friends at this conference-but I was also experiencing bad morning sickness and the excitement of a new pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. I will be glad to be done scrapping pictures from that pregnancy! Nonetheless they are moments in my life and I can't just skip over that 12 weeks.

Lumpy's Biggest Fan

Here's a plug for a great feature at the Cricut Messageboards-you can get in on a swap for cuts that you want but don't have the cartridges for. This month I request several from Pooh & Friends because my Lucy loves that gang. I scrapbooked this within a week of them arriving-aren't they adorable?

Practical Scrappers Challenge: Vellum

Argh! This is how I feel about this challenge! I really like to try to do something very creative-it did not happen! I got this done today about 3 minutes before hosting a dinner party. I guess my mind is on Kindergarten this week-not vellum :). I do have to say that I really love my journaling on this...you won't hear me say that very often!

All I used was stickers and one sheet of white cardstock-can you believe it!?!

Christmas Breakfast

The challenge this week on Practical Scrappers is to use up scraps. I love to make layouts using as much paper up as I can, so this was no problem for me (as evidenced by the 4 postings I did there!!!) Anyway this was yet another creation that I decided not to post there...I tried to share some of my more creative scrap uses on there and although this one uses lots of scraps, it's nothing earth shattering :). This shot is of my dad making the annual Christmas breakfast.

Soccer

This is the first of probably several soccer layouts. I had so much soccer paper stored up...it was nice to get to finally use some of it! I also got to use my Sports Mania cartridge! That is such an awesome cartridge!

Doodling Template

I made this layout using a doodling template from the Crafter's Workshop. They are one of our sponsors over at Practical Scrappers. I never thought I'd see the day when I would actually use this color green cardstock to make something so pretty :).
