May Card Workshop Thank You Card

I had my first monthly card workshop yesterday. It was great fun! We had ladies who were very experienced and some with absolutely no experience. Everyone came out with five cards. This was one of them. I used the Treasure Life Stamp Set with Dessert Sand ink. We did second generation stamping to get the lighter color.

Have I said how much I love the Fiskars "Threading Water" border punch? It is finding it's way onto soooo many of my layouts and cards! Lucy had a Minnie Mouse birthday my embellishing of this page was easy!

Adventures are more fun with Two

It appears I am on a polka dot kick! I added flower sequins and brads to the polka dots to bring out the blue a little more. This is one of my favorite pictures of my kids-I am thrilled with how the layout turned out!

Best Fun Ever

I was always one of those people that said I'd never use stamps on a scrapbook layout. I was afraid of messing up the layout! Clear stamps have helped me change my mind on that. Now I can barely get through a layout without using stamps.

This page was a premade layout. I added the brown strip with the ribbon. I also added the polka dots (with a stamp) to the photo mat.

Uncle Time

This page is pretty self-explanatory. The paper came from The Storytellers Club. I used the craft knife to cut one of the flourishes and slide the picture underneath.

My friend Pat passed away in January and I really wanted to do a page about her. I'd been putting off doing this page until I was in the right mood. She had been on my mind a lot one day, so I decided to work on her page. I am so pleased with how it came together. Nearly the whole page is stamped (Treasure Life CTMH, Key to My Heart CTMH, and the March stamp of the month). I also used my new "threading water" border punch. I got that for mother's day and have used it on most of the layouts I have done this week-apparently I like it :)!

I found a good deal on the "lace" cardstock-so I've been enjoying using that up! I cut the letters with the George Cricut Cartridge-I've never used that style of letter before. I really love the buttons that are already threaded and have adhesive on them!

Sorry for the absence!

Since my last post I have gotten pregnant, been exhausted from the first trimester, and then miscarried at 12 weeks. Needless to say scrapbooking has not been happening a whole lot and when it has I haven't taken the time to blog about it.

The last couple days I have needed some good scrapbooking therapy and have been cranking out some pages I really love! Here's the start of my reentry to the blog world!
