Birthday Party Layouts

Jamie sent me a picture of this layout that I believe is a workshop at her LSS. I lifted most of the ideas of the layout and am thrilled with the end result. I took a picture of each of the little princesses with Lucy, so a layout with lots of pictures was perfect! I used my cuttlebug to emboss all the pastel cardstock and used chipboard princesses. I wish the picture did it justice!

I made this layout 2 years ago at a make n take at Creating Keepsakes convention. I've never had the right pictures to put on it, this year they worked so I finally got to use it!

One part of Lucy's party was getting all the little girls hair, nails, and makeup done. I did this layout all about Lucy getting ready, including a picture of her at the beginning.

PK Glitz Sketch Entry

I made this based on the May sketch for PK Glitz and used glitter as part of the requirment. I also made it for Practical Scrappers this week using vellum to make my flowers and cross.

Several layouts that I made that didn't make the cut for Practical Scrappers, but I am still happy with nonetheless (:

Sticker Project

The challenge this week is to use Stickers. I used school themed stickers to border the picture of Timmy. I also created my title using a lot of adjusted letter stickers, trimming them to make them into the letter that I wanted!

Floss Flower

I put down a glue dot and then just started looping my floss to make petals. Covered it with a metal embelli and some stickles. Very simple and easy! I seem to be into layouts with multiple pics right now!

Easter Layouts

In a bit of a slump and gotta say I don't really love either of these.  I like my little egg/flower clusters on the Hop layout.  And I like my Easter letters to make the egg shape on the first.  Part of the problem is I just don't love pastels!

I created this layout based on the sketch from Sketchy Thursday last week. I generally do not work well with sketches, it takes me twice as long and I get stifled and frustrated. Having said that I saw this sketch and loved it, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. This whole layout took a half hour, it went soooo smoothly!

Lucy has loved Pooh Bear and friends for nearly a year. She went thru a phase where all she wanted to play with were her little Pooh characters. One package of them had this poem on it and I saved it just to make a layout with this picture. It was a pain to cut out and then lay out all these letters, but totally worth the end result. I absolutely love the story it tells of my little two year old! I did forget to add commas and need to go back and do that still!

Three new layouts

The DC one was created for Practical Scrappers and the other two were just for fun. I've been trying to knock out as much as I can before this baby shows up in a few months....

Two more very simple, but done layouts! It's always nice to knock out a series of layouts!

Sun Fun

Just a simple but cheery layout with some fun accents, I couldn't believe how well the polka dot cardstock matched up with Miss Lucy's swimsuit!

Chipboard Project

This week's challenge at Practical scrappers is to use chipboard. I decided to stamp on raw chipboard to see how it would turn out. I am pleased with the result and it was way easier than painting or covering it with paper! The only tricky thing is to find something that the raw chipboard color will work with (layout wise).

Ding Dong

A layout about our annual traidition of the Easter Bunny ringing the doorbell to bring the kids their Easter baskets. I created the flowers and made a video on how to do it that you can find on Practical Scrappers.

WaHo

I made this layout to tell about Lucy's love of Snow White. The journaling is all about her favorite moments in the movie and her reaction to them.

Her Stars

I love how this page turned out! It looks simple - but the stars and starbursts are stickers and doodles - so that makes it a little more complicated. I saw something similar done on the show "Scrapbook Memories" and liked how it looked. So I decided to give it my own spin :).

Disneyland Layouts

I've done so many Disney themed layouts that my creativity is tapped out on those! So for this round I decided to go a slightly different route. I was very pleased with how both of these came together!

2017

My husband looks at my layouts when I get done and I knew I had nailed it because he laughed out loud. I saw a layout with similar journaling in Simple Scrapbooks and knew I wanted to replicate it to tell my own story.

Mixed Reaction

Being forced to use a product (Glitz Design rub-on) helped me a lot on this layout. I had no idea what I was going to do I just knew I needed to use the rub-on. Somehow I decided these pictures would work well and it just flowed from there. I love the striking color variations! I've been needing to get rolling (as I said in my last post) - Glitz got me going - 4 layouts done in a couple hours the other night. It felt awesome!

Tennessee Football

This is another layout I made for Courtney's scrapbook. Couldn't help but throw all those orange patterned papers in to match her outfit! I haven't been doing a lot of scrapping lately - pregnancy has zapped all my energy! I am hoping to get back in the groove soon!

Practical Scrappers Blog Hop

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog for the Practical Scrappers blog hop! For my Love project I decided to do a layout of my parents. Yes I went a little crazy with the flowers - but I did so with reason. I put 32 flowers on to represent the 32 years they've been married! To make my circle - I used a chipboard circle from CTMH and attached lace cardstock behind it. I then trimmed off the excess.
